Just wondering if anyone does anything to celebrate St Patrick's Day? I have Irish heritage somewhere along the line and DH likes to think because he love's Irish beer that he has some connection...so I was thinking I might make some cupcakes with green icing and maybe an Irish stew for dinner tomorrow night, might even grab DH some Guiness!
How do you celebrate?

We moved in together on St Patrick's Day 10 years ago and were married on St Patrick's Day 6 years ago.
Tomorrow is going to be a lovely family day with a big breakfast, a long drive and then DH and I are going out to dinner together Valentine
It's always a special day at our house

my DH is irish so we're going to the parade tomorrow. but i have to say i wasn't planning on doing anything until i read this thread, but now i'm thinking it would be nice to get the kids to help me make some green cupcakes and surprise DH when he gets home.
I'll make sure the Pogues are blasting out of the stereo when he walks through the door too, so he gets all sentimental and tears well up in his eyes.....]
now i'm on a roll, i'll dust off the celtic football jersey too...... hey, i'm going to get right into it now.....

We don't do anything in particular. I don't need green beer to remind me of my heritage, to be sure, to be sure...
WE had Irish Sausages and White Pudding brunch .... and green cup cakes ..... and now my parents are taking off for the drinking and fussing that comes with a good Irish Session of drinking, singing, dancing and being merry.
