Mackay Anyone???

Well the time has come.... my DH was offered a job of a life time so we are leaving newcastle and making the trek north to Mackay in sunny sunny Queensland!!!! Yippee!

I originally come from Townsville and my parents still live there so it is going to great to be closer to them - particularly with the second bub on the way!

So do we have any bubhubbers in Mackay?? Surely I won't be the only one... I hope not!!!! :eek:

Welcome to Mackay! Hope you like it up here (bit of a change of pace to NSW!) We moved here from Townsville almost four years ago. Hope your hubby's job works out!

Hiya, Iam not a Mackay but a Townsville mummy. Just noticed that you are a fellow raafie wife; where about in NSW did you move from? We were there from
Jan 2002 - Dec 2004. Hubby was based at Williamtown but we lived in Salamanderbay. Hubbie's family also live in Mackay so we are up that way often.

Hi Peta!

We got posted to Williamtown in Jan 03 and we were there until DH discharged in Jan this year. We quite liked Medowie - it was like a small little community on its own, however as we were both born and raised in qld (me in Townsville!) it is good to be home!

Feel free to chat - still don't really know anyone here yet so it is good having some adult conversation! DH is away more with his new job then what he was in the RAAF!!!!!
