my son is 8 months old and since before xmas (started teething) he is waking up screaming in the middle of the night.
I finally got him down to one wake up needing a bottle sleep but the last few nights he has woken up every hour our so so I literally feel like I havent shut my eyes
He has 2 teeth coming in at the moment but they have both broken the skin so I dont think it is due to that.
He puts himself to sleep, I dont rock him so I dont understand what is going on - but I cant do to many more nights like this or I will go insane:sleeping:

My DS who is 9 months has never been a 'good' sleeper and has always woken at least twice a night.
For the past 2 months or so he has been waking every 1-2 hours and getting up at 5 am.
I am O.V.E.R I.T
Hope you get some sleep soon :hugs:

Can I ask, what are you doing when your bub wakes up?
My 8 mo dd used to only wake once a night for a feed and last week for who knows what reason she woke at 12.30. I made the mistake of feeding her rather than resettling and she still woke at 4.30 (for another feed!!). This is all despite having been on a good amount of solids for two months.
Well, the next night she woke every two hours. The night after that I said "no more baby"!! and stopped feeding her at night at all.
Night one of this she cried on and off for just over an hour and she's slept 12 hours straight the last two nights.
I sometimes think that they very quickly learn at night that when they come awake the game is they call you and you come and feed/settle/comfort etc.
My dd is also a good self settler and good napper during the day. I've finally realised that by continuing her feed at night I was disrupting her sleep more, rather than less.
I hope that makes sense. How many feeds is your bub having? On solids yet?

he eats 3 meals + snacks and bottles in between
if he wakes i just keep putting him back down and has always needed a bottle about 4am but has always gone back to sleep until 7 and then has 2 day sleeps between 1.5-2hrs during the day.
