My baby is due in March 06.
I'm just wondering how much the baby bonus will be then?

Is it still going up $1000 every year or has that been stopped?

It really helps out a lot I remember years ago when you could rely on getting a healthy tax return for those bigger items or that family holiday.

We paid extra into or tax 2 years ago hopping to have a bit extra, thank goodness we did as DH new Job stuffed our tax and we had to pay only $600 but it hurt. would have been a lot worse if we hadn't paid any off.

$3000.

It increases to $4000 as of 1st July 2006. The next increase wont be till 1st July 2008 where it goes up to $5000.

I got mine last week and it was $3119.00 :)

andrewsmum- is right (according to Centrelink paperwork) ... it stops at $5000 though.. and they are saying (at the moment) that it wont increase again ..

so $3000 now...
$4000 as of July 2006
$5000 as of July 2007 and then it stays at 5000
