Hello
I am a student Doula with Optimum Birth and have sucessfully passed all the theory side of this wonderful course, and I am very keen to become qualified.
In order to qualify I need to attend 3 births. I am very passionate about this emotional, physical and informational supportive role and am keen to begin my journey as a Doula.
I am from the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne (Chirnside Park).
A brief background to me: I am 33 years young and before I had my children, my profession was an Executive Personal Assistant. I had my first born by C/Section, and my second was a wonderful VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Caesarean) birth experience.
After experience as a successful career woman, then the transition to a happy housewife, I hope to offer a modern touch to the birthing experience to assist the busy women of today to make informed choices and feeling balance in their lives. I believe this in turn will help facilitate a positive birth experience which is not only critical to woman and their parenting, but also to our society.
Depending on costs of travel, and as I am a student, I am willing to offer my services for FREE, or at cost, until I qualify.
