Hi Guys,

Daycare have been complaining as Ds has been wetting the front of his bodysuits at top front of nappy. He is in a sposie of a night and does the same thing. Have tried to point "it" upwards but he is a chunky bub and it sits facing outwards IYKWIM - he seems to go through fazes. It doesn't help that atm he hates being on his back on the change table so straightening it all up is difficult.

Has anyone found nappy bands good for this - what are they made of? Do you think I could make a temporary one up to try?

Sorry for all the questions - you have all been o great with your help in the past - hoping you have some ideas.:fingerscrossed:

yep, the wee will go in the direction that it points, that's why boys have so much fun writing their name in the snow...

I believe a few ppl have tried them - I think the report was they were good up until the age where they just get too clever and can remove the band. I am not sure what age that is but my guess would be around 18 months perhaps or a bit younger?

My boy was chubby also, and his willy didnt quite reach all the way down, iykwim??

I used to put a half a facewasher right on that spot where it sat, and forced it down, and then put on the nappy, and it worked a treat.
Also, you could try a headband for a tester if its too big, just throw in a couple of stitches to make it smaller..

Jodie,

Do you mean you left the little half a facewasher in the nappy? Would be good idea i guess ecept may be a little "too hard" for daycare IYKWIM - easy enough at home.

Don't have a headband but might buy a cheap one - I have short hair and a little boy - so no hairbands here LOL

What type of nappies are you using? In pockets I really like the cotton babies insert as it snaps down at the top.;)

LOL at Lil B and Mumma - but yeah I remember one of the first things anyone told me was 'if your bub is a boy make sure you point him down!'

yep, just straight in there, on top of the willy..
You could put in a microfleece liner on top, or even just leave out the flannel, and go straight for the liner, just to spread the wee all over, instead of the one place, iykwim?

umm, what about a cloth breastpad for when your home? that may work, and would be a great size just for over the doodle, lol.. I used terries, and every wee was just everywhere, he was always getting his singlet changed, cause thats always where it went, up his singlet! hth
