View Full Version : Leaking Boobs!!
Sorry if this is TMI but has anyone else experienced clear fluid leaking from their nipples??
I'm a little over 16 weeks and this morning i felt soaking wet patches on my nightie from my nipples! I was horrified and upon closer examination there was lots dried stains around this area. Now everytime I take my bra off I start leaking ewww! I didn't think that colostrum would start this early. I hope it's not just me!

i had this happen when i was about 20 weeks and i happened a bit before i gave birth. perfectly normal.
It hasn't happened to me yet, my boobs haven't even grown.. But my nipples always have dry skin around them and are occassionally itchy....
With this pg i had leaky boobs straight after conception, before i even tested bfp.
They dont leak of their own accord but i can squeeze stuff out. I am 17 weeks on Fri.
I leaked early last time too. Amazingly my boosies dont grow in size (a cup here) but they produce an astounding amount of milk!
thanks heaps for your input girls! by the looks of things everybodys different when it comes to our changing and not so changing bbs!
Atm it's quite uncomfortable cos everytime I try to go without a bra I get lovely lil patches. I guess I'll have to invest in some very comfy bras if I'm gonna be living in them!
Welcome to pregnancy Kimee!!!! Ha! :p
Invest in some pads too. They will save any unwanted wet patch surprises.

Petite but efficient!!
No colostrum here yet but have noticed they are becoming quite dry. I have been rubbing bio oil all over my tummy and (.)(.)'s but a friend said not to put anything on the nipples. She said it's good to 'roughen' them up a bit....for want of a better word.
:detective: hmmm a case where size doesnt matter

As strange as it may sound, it's kind of true. If they are though before someone starts sucking on them 8 times a day, you have less chance of cracked nippiles.
Just make sure that they don't get too dry. If they start to crack, use Bepanthen or Marcalan on them. Marcalan is a great one to keep in your medicine cabinet, as it's safe to use on your nipples whilst breastfeeding. It's made specifically for that reason.
It saved me with DD. She had a STRONG suck, and completely ruined my nipples.
My nipples are also becoming quite dry.. I'll have to go and get something for them..
Am I the only one whose boobs actually haven't really been sore yet??
mine aren't any different either...well not hurting different. probably more sensitive but i'm not complaining! :D
Yeah, Mine might be a little more sensitive, but thats about it lol..
They haven't hurt once since I found out I was pregnant...
Just be being paranoid.. Once again!
