Hi everyone,
i have a 2mth old dd and in the last couple of days she has been passing some pretty stinky wind.I know that my 22mth old dd's wind didnt start to smell offensive until she was on solids, so i'm a little concerned.
She has started to poo less frequently now, which I thought may be effecting her digestive system(its generally only once a day now)and she has had trouble pushing out her wind and stools(but she is not constipated).
My 22mth old dd is lactose intolerant, but didnt have too many problems with it untilshe started on formula.
I am breastfeeding 90% of the time and using a lactose free formula the other 10%.
Can anybody help

Firstly welcome to Bub Hub.. I noticed this was your first post...

My DS started to poo less frequently at about 3 months and his wind was extremely stinky (which is why his nickname is now stinky winky)... I was also told that a breastfeed baby can go up to 14 days without using their bowels...

I dont think you have anything to worry about but if you are concerned, it is always a good idea to check with your GP or health nurse...

Good Luck

It can also depend on what you're eating. I remember eating peas and corn for dinner and the next day DD was blowing a stinky gale! :o

Have you been eating anything different lately?

Thanks for the warm welcome and reply jacksmum05.Boomtish has hit the nail on the head.I've been having heaps of garlic lately, and since it has been affecting me,it makes sense that poor dd is suffering too.Maybe its time to cut out the spicy foods... ;)
