Hi All,

Just wanting some advice on what I should get for my pusher now that DS2 is almost here.

I have got a Valco Baby and that has worked great but now with bubs almost here I am unsure whether I should get a toddler seat that goes on top of the pusher or one of those step things that attach to the back of the pusher so the toddler stands on it (I'm sorry but I dont know what they are called).

What do you use? What has been your experience with either? When did you now your child would be better suited to one or the other?

My DS1 is 20 months now and will be 22 months when DS2 is born. Just trying to think ahead and not get something that I wont use IYKWIM.

At 22 months I would say get a toddler seat. Their little legs get too tired otherwise.

Once ds was over 2 1/2 we got a skateboard thinga.

truthfully i got a toddler seat but only problem is when bubs get to want to look around or sit un the pram they cant see out and theres not alot of leg room

id go with a skateboard thats like a step so they can sit or stand

At that age I suggest the toddler seat. But it really depends on how long you go out for.

I have 3 year old twins and I have a pram with a toddler seat for walking and a stroller with a hitchhikker for the car and shoppiing centres etc. (the pram wont fit) I find if I am out for most of the day then the one on the skateboard gets tired.

If you do go for a skateboard I suggest trying them out in the shop first even if you don't buy it from there. I just asked and they were happy to attach one for me and I just wheeled it around the shop. I tried one skateboard and found I couldn't walk properly and hated it. Then I found the Valco Hitchhikker and was much happier with that one as I found I could walk under it.
