Facebook a scary place. I have had people from school adding me who I didn't even remember Then there's the people who want to be my friend NOW...yeah but not in school. I am glad there is a snob appeal about it and you can say no to people. It gives me a slight satisfaction.

I'm throwing off the wallflower mantle and going in search of you and your purple rinse, MammaMia.

I'm off to run a refresher through my hair, then, so I'm looking my best.

Time for a new crocheted collar too and my best pearls!

I thought I'd drop in to see how my lovely sea cow friends are faring? Is the cantankery strong in the run up to Christmas? Or are you all more organised and cucumber cooler than me?

hi X. at this point, i'm not too cranky. i haven't been able to concentrate too much on christmas because we've had our house on the market. i've been too busy keeping the house tidy - so easy with a toddler and a hairy dog. i have to say that the move to KK by my family and friends has made christmas a whole lot more manageable.

That would keep you busy. I hope the place sells soon, so that your days of manic tidying can be over soon.

Cheers

I was all geared up to be cantanquerous during our flights to Canada. 2 weeks before Christmas, hurried tired passengers, harrassed airline staff, bring it on! And yet, it all went so well. Staff in Los Angeles airport were even (gasp) HELPFUL. I almost feel disappointed, I have nothing to be cranky over.

Isn't it amazing, when we gear ourselves up to be all cranky, and there is no reason to be. Yet, when we think things might just go swimmingly, cranky causes are everywhere.

Speaking of which, grocery shopping a week before Christmas. Am I mad? Should I just have bought a giant amount of food last week?

Just go early, so there's plenty pf parking. The shops will still be nuts, but float along above the tumult (have I mentioned I've still got to get all my Christmas lunch food??)

Hi ladies !

I keep meaning to join you all in here and it seems pre Christmas may be the perfect timing....

Ack ! I so wish I had done a bulk shop last week... now I have to go tommorrow and do a HUGE shop, with the boys I may add...
I know I am going to be quite delirious by the end of it.....

I just realised I'm now in the cantankerous age bracket!

Is this my chance to let my true colours show?

:smiliedance::smiliedance: Oh, yay!

I haven't shown my OCSC face in here for so, so long and when I do click on it, here are two of my most favourite people coming in to announce their intentions of being OCSC's. :yelclap::yelclap:

Welcome Tracey and Sarah!

As for shopping, I am off tomorrow to do the grocery shop also. I have waited because DH has a half day off tomorrow and I thought I would get him to watch the children but then my calender says I have an appointment with them at 1pm!
I think I may leave it until 11pm tomorrow night-surely the shops will be quiet by then...

Yup, we have a few.

Welcome Tracey and Sarah. Nice work embracing your cantankerousness.

A stern reminder though, Sal, you should know this. Settle down with that emoticon usage, my friend. It might just give me a headache.

So why is it that when your child decides to only wake once during the night, you still wake up half a dozen times? Hardly fair.

Hangs head in shame. really, I don't know what came over me. I think I may have forgotten the OCSC etiquette somewhat-it has been some time since I visited. Plus, I was a bit overcome with excitement that my luffly frineds have poked their heads in here. :goodvibes: Sorry, that one just came out......

And as to your question? I believe it has something to do with natures revenge. She is making up for all those times we ignored her in our youth; namely going out and partaking in too much liquid refreshment.

I know Sal. I felt all emoticon-y when I saw them here too.

As for nature's revenge. Oh dear. I'm now paying for those years of abuse am I? Damn uni days.

ooh, the OCSC thread has gone all pink and sparkly! welcome tracey and sarah - please feel free to moo at will.

sal and bron - damn that mother nature. she's the one that sends your body into wrack and ruin right at the time when you feel the most at ease with it!

I Know!

What's with that? When I had the hot bod, I spent all my time worrying that I looked terrible and dare I say it, fat!
Now that my bod is slowly heading towards the ground, I actually feel OK with it. Hmmmm....

Thanks for the welcome m'dears :) (kept that to minimal emoticon use)

Argh ! I know how unfair is that !?

Samuel is night trained now (woo hoo) but I am sure there will be the odd accident at night and I am now finding myself laying awake at night worrying about it...*grumbles*
Last night I lay awake for over an hour waiting for him to call out... he didnt of course
