Hi There!

Just wanted some idea of peoples reactions to the following boys names. I think boys names ending in N feel strong & would like to know what you think.

Dennan
Travyn / Traven / Travin / Travon (not sure on spelling)
Mason
Preston

Thanks!!! :D

Dennan - I feel he will forever be saying his name twice and spelling it three times.
Travyn / Traven / Travin / Travon (not sure on spelling) - I don't dislike it but it doesn't roll off the tongue.
Mason - 6/10 It's not a name I would ordinarily associate with babies. But what would I know? I've never even met a baby Mason! :)
Preston - 6/10 ... quite nice but for some reason I think of 'named' folk calling their child Preston as in Preston Smythe III :)

I agree with Supermum there. None of them 'grabs' me.

And Preston reminds me of Britney Spears' bub.

Are you open to any other names ended in 'n', such as Lachlan, Jackson, Jason etc?

Well ...

Dennan - Denon is a brand of hifi equipment and it could also be very easily mis-heard as Denim.

Traven doesn't grab me, but then I've never understood "made-up" names (forgive me if this does mean something - I've just not come across it before and I read baby name books almost as a hobby :o )

I've just met a baby Mason and he's gorgeous, its OK

Britney's got Preston, pply may think you idolise her (which may not bother you at all if its true :D )

Cheers

I like Preston and Mason, and Dennan third.

I personally would steer away from names which I'm not sure how to spell since few others will know how to spell them either. Although, the first time I wrote my daughters name on the card for her bassinette I spelt it wrong myself :o

In the end, it's only your opinion and your partners that matter, so as long as you're happy with your choice then whatever you choose will be the perfect name.

My faves are Preston, followed by Mason. One of my friends has a boy called Mason, and he's a cutie!

I agree with the other girls about the 'different' names, people will always be getting them wrong...but if you and DH like them, then go for it!

I must admit, I don't like any of them.

Dennan - reminds me of that HiFi brand
Travyn / Traven / Travin / Travon (not sure on spelling) - awful (sorry)
Mason - reminds me of the Freemason's hospital
Preston - reminds me of the suburb in Melbourne
