Hey hey there,

Cant help too much with location to fernwood (I assume you mean the gym) But there are lots of burbs in outer east and outer south east in that price range that have heaps of schools around them. Also a great area for new families. Feel free to PM me if you want to chat more.

Pascoe Vale and the surrounding suburbs are around that price range. It's close to the city, has train and depending on where you are- tram as well, and it's not far from me :D

Also Bentleigh, Bentleigh East. Moorabbin Highett, Cheltenham are all great suburbs ( there is a fernwood near Southland within waling distance from those suburbs)Oakleigh is great too, there is heaps of areas you can choose from it depends whether you want South Eastern, Western Northern or Eastern suburbs. The choices are overwhelming :)

hello! the mornington peninsula (south east) is lovely place to live. Family friendly, has the beaches, lots of good schools.
We're in Rye, which is about an hour to hour an a half drive from Melbourne, but i find that i never really need to go into the city.
They have the carnival every year here, and playgrounds, lots of kid friendly stuff.
Also, the price range around here is anywhere from $150 to $300, depending on how nice house you want. We pay $220pw for a 2storey 3bedroom place &it has awesome views too.
I think the closest fernwood is frankston, which is about half hour drive, but there mite be a closer one i'm not sure.
So yea, if you like the laid back feel, and being next to the beach, come this way!
It was the best move we ever made!

We are near Chelle :D and its good for transport and not too far from the City. I think there is a Fernwood at a major shopping centre - can't recall which one - near here.
We are paying $170 for rent but that is low.

Nunawading or maybe it's Ringwood (I forget) has a Fernwood.
Blackburn, Blackburn North, Blackburn South, Box Hill South, Box Hill North,Nunawading, Ringwood, Vermont and Forest Hill are all good suburbs in the East of Melbourne. Melbourne City is only about 20-30min max via the Eastern Freeway.

I lived at Blackburn North for 5yrs and loved it!!!!!

Think the rent pricing could be OK if you looked around a bit there.

Good luck!!
