I made out ones, they were easy as and didn't cost as much as they would've if I had got someone else to make them

its easy to match place cards to your invitation, I didn't have place cards, don't know why I didn't really think about it, we only had a small croud at the reception as well, about 60 people I think, may have been a bit more

anyways my invitations were made from card, and I had another peice of printed paper in the middle with the details, I then folded mine in thirds and on the top layer once folded I drew a couple of silver doves, they looked really cool, i'll see if I can find and put a pic up

I would love the have a look thanks Gizmo. When I go into town next I am going to have a browse at a few things.
I think for my theme colour I am going to have a maroon. Does your ivitations have to match?

no the invitations don't have to match

my friend got married last year, she had very slim invitations that had 3 layers, cardboard, a printed layer and then a see through layer ontop, her place cards were cowboy hats, and her thankyou cards were just a written peice of paper, and the envelope it came im matched the same envelope she used for the invitations, she made all hers too

I recon anything goes, I didn't have all mine matching but I did use the same colours for just about everything

I made my own too. I went to a place called My Big Event which is basically a store that stocks all things for invitations and stuff.. and I did them myself. We had about 50 people come to our wedding. As far as matching goes, I don't think it's a prerequisite but ours matched cos I really liked the silver colour scheme.

Our invites were printed on transparent paper with silver little prints on them glued onto silver cardboard. My bridesmaids (I had 3, 1 flower girl) all wore different bright coloured dresses with silver shoes and carried Freesias wrapped with a silver ribbon. That's kind of how we tied the silver in..

I am going to be making my own, maybe I will go to a craft store or something and see what they have there.

I have decided that I will be making mine. I am going to go for the transperant design. I am going to use some love heart studs to hold it together with also a magnet on the back.
Still decidimg if I should go maroon or just silver & gold.:detective:

I made my own. We used a black metallic card for the back and a white pearl paper on the front. We strung a wire with beads on it across the top to add a bit of colour.

Really simple and you can get most of the supplies from Spotlight. They have heaps of cardstock etc so you could choose a colour and match it up with place cards etc.

I just had a quote done up on invites - for 40 invites, rsvp cards, envelopes with preprinted names and bonbonairre name cards (instead of place cards) and thank you cards was a cost of $520.00 To do them on my own will cost $300 ish. That was just one specific design. Im keeping the colour theme matching. Ours is baby pink white and silver. Also hearts is the other thing we are using.
