Is it Heat rash/nappy rash??

Hey guys, just a quick query, my little boys nappy area is perfect (no rashes) but he's penis and scrotum are both fire engine red, and his penis has a few little spots which look like the sweat rash he gets... Is this just nappy rash or heat rash or something else? It just seems strange that the rest of his nappy area is fine, but his penis and scrotum are so very very red?? Any ideas?

My two year old man has the same problem. I think it's the heat.

Try nappy rash cream (the zinc white ones like Curash) and then put a layer of Bepanthen on top of it, this is what my Dr suggested to me when Andrew was a bub! If that doesn't work then take him to the Dr to get a script for a thicker nappy rash cream (that won't even come off, even in the bath!!)

I would suggest that it's a nappy/heat rash thing. That area is more susceptible to wetness prior to being soaked into the nappy, wet and warm aren't the best combinations.

Try what Andrewsmum said, and if it doesn't clear up, or seem to get better see a doctor.

Also, perhaps, consider that the urine is getting acidic and up his clear fluid intake.
