Those of you that get ovulation pains... could you please describe what they feel like.
I've never had them - at least I never associated any pain with ovulating. But I had the WORST pain by my left ovary yesterday. I was in such agony I even went to the doc - DH was very worried. Doc sent me for blood test to check if I was pregnant - think he was worried about ectopic - but that came out neg.
Having had EWCM yesterday I am now thinking that it could possibly have been ovulation pains. Its fine today but quite tender if prodded in that area. Doc is now sending me for ultrasound on monday to check out my ovary and make sure all is ok.
I'd love to hear other peoples experiences.

TIA

Like a light period pain only more localised toward one ovary, depending on which ovary the egg is being released. Occasionally there can be pain on both ovaries which could be the release of an egg from both ovaries, which would mean that if both eggs are fertilised there would be non-identical twins.:D :D
The older a woman is, the more chance of both ovaries releasing eggs simultaneously.

Well I didnt actually know what ovulation pains felt like as I have PCOS and havent ovulated naturally for over a year. I fell pregnant on Clomid last year but didnt really get any ovulation signs I just knew I was ovulating because my cycles were being tracked. I miscarried that baby and had a D&C in Jan. I was waiting for my AF to come back after m/c and then one day I felt these cramps just like period cramps. I was so sure that AF was coming. Then a few weeks later I found out I am pregnant! So I ovulated naturally, turns out the day that I thought AF was coming was the day I ovulated. So to me ovulation pains feel just like AF cramps.
