Thanks for opening a new thread.
I don't have a car so I would need public transport.Train would be best for me, I wouldn't mind city Centennial Park sounds good to me, as everybody could catch a train to /from there.
Homebush or Paramatta sounds too far.
Ah and the day , in the next two weeks I have Monday 's and Thursdays' still mothers' group so any other day for me, but I would prefer weekdays.
Sorry if I sound unflexible !!
Hope we can organize something, would be lovely!! :smiliedance:
yep City is good for me too.
Id pick u up cordu but dnt have two carseats!
And yeah a weekday is good for me too.
Maybe a Tuesday then?

Hello, I'm a Sydney person too! Centennial Park is fine for us - it was my front yard when I was growing up. Any day is usually fine. Yay to meet some friends in person, and some little people too!

ps I think we should pm final details as this forum is open to any type of stranger who cares to pry on mums and bubs (according to bubhub protocol, and I believe there are a lot of strange people out there)

I just saw that Centennial Park is not near a train line at all or am I missing something. As I'm not very familiar with Sydney I had no idea.I just had a look it would take me
almost 2 hours to get there by train and bus, not sure if Jasie can take that.
Is there maybe an alternative location where we all just have to catch a train, easier for us who are dependent on public transport.
Just another stupid question, do I have to pay extra for bub on public transport.
And another thing came to my mind , How do we recognize each other, I know how each bubs look but not the mothers.:p
good thinking quitecontrary , we should pm each other details maybe sms and show each other photos of the mums too.

ok so its still raining here today so i dare say its going to be rainging tomorrow.
its also dam cold here!
i know Kylies twins have been sick (according to her post) migh not be a good idea for them to be out in the wet and cold if they're still sick(poor little things)
i'm still up for it if everyone else goes.
but maybe we need to find another meeting place out of the rain or something?

Thanks for the PM's. Not enough notice for me to organise these 2. But will be interested in meeting up with you all next time. Have a great time, enjoy!!!!:D
Sorry all I couldn't make it. I would have loved to come but a friend of mine was supposed to visit and we've been trying to organise this for past few weeks and she backed out in the last minute.. So Chelsea and I could have come after all.
Howeve I'm not to keen with public transport and I don't drive to the city. Maybe next time when it's a bit closer to my area and I can drive there then I should be able to come.
Hope you al had fun!

It was lovely wasn't it? And weren't we lucky with the weather? I am glad to have met y'all (as they say in the Deep South).
Genevieve and I went down to dh's work, and ended up having dinner in Chinatown. It was such fun to be back in the city, and catching the train and everything!

We got home safely too. But I'm soooo exhausted after all that!!
If anything else could go wrong in my day (LOL, it's all funny now but it sure wasn't at the time!!) I got to the platform only to find the train I wanted to go on was leaving  Had to wait 20 minutes for the next one!!
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for us!

Hi girls
It was great to meet you all and put a name to a face.
I enjoyed our picnic so much in the CBD so I went back yesterday for a picture perfect day to take pictures of the Opera house in the sunshine.
Unfortunately Jasie was a bit uncooperative and screamed through the whole photo session.:p.
I'll pm you the link to all the photos I have taken @ our picnic.
Mary can you please pm also the link to your photos if you have uploaded them on the web.
Thanks and cheers :)

Me too, if we can get it together before the 2 of August! That will be when Genevieve joins the jetset!
Same place? Same time?
Or does someone have an idea for an equally central place for those who don't drive? Or should we take up Kellie's wollongong challenge?
andrewsmum
15-05-2007, 12:37
 Yeah I'm up for it too - I could perhaps say I'm easy, it doesn't matter where we go.

20-05-2007, 17:23
Sorry, you will have to count me out of this one - am off on to take the daughter to her grandparents place on the 2nd - Heathrow here we come! They are so excited about seeing her, Dh is so looking forward to showing her off to his side of the family, in a very understated English manner.
Hi All,
Chelsea and I would really love to come!! If it will be Parramatta - definetely we can come. But wollongong is too much of a challenge for me. I won't be able to come then.
Anytime of the week is good for me except for Wednesdays. As I have mother's group those days.
So what do you guys think about TUESDAY 12/6/07 at Parramatta? There's a park there too.
GraceUnhearing
26-05-2007, 16:37
parramatta might be a bit of a hike for me i think
changing trains and everything.

Can I throw a spanner in the works and say let's meet at the baby expo in Homebush June 1st to 3rd??
Are you up for something like that Kellie?? Otherwise I think perhaps another meet up in the city may be better for all of us??
quitecontrary
27-05-2007, 19:50
Kylie, you are right, I am leaving on the 2nd of June, not August - we will be back on the 4th of August. God knows what I was thinking when I last posted here.
So, much as I would like to see you all I won't be around for a while after 9am on Saturday.
Andrewsmum - My hubby, Chelsea and I will be going to the expo this saturday about midday. So if you decide to go on this day hopefully will see you. I've still got your mobile so will sms you if you also decide to go on saturday.
