Has anyone used clomid or similiar?

Just wondering if anyone has used clomid or simliar to help conceive a little bub? Going to gyno soon think he may put me on this as i dont 'O'. I'm TTC #1

With this pregnancy I still wasn't ovulating 1yr after our DD was born. Our FS / OB ran some tests and I had an ultrasound to see what was happening then he prescribed Clomid. We were lucky enough to fall on our first course. My older sister however was on Clomid for two years prior to her conceiving my niece.

I went on Clomid last year after trying for a baby for over a year and finally being diagnosed with PCOS. They put me on the lowest dose and I was lucky enough to fall pregnant first cycle on it. Unfortunately we lost the baby at 8 weeks but we have recently found out we are expecting again - we somehow did it naturally this time! Yay!

There is a few side effects from Clomid but I would definately give it a go. I was reluctant to go on it at first but FS explained me me that I do not ovulate naturally (I had a 2% chance of falling pregnant without Clomid - this baby is a miracle!). I was definately going to go back on it again as soon as I got my all clear from D&C after M/C but turns out I didnt need to as just 7 weeks after m/c and no period we found out I am pregnant again so we are over the moon.

I was diagnosed with PCOS last year and due to the fact that I didn't have a period - and therefore didn't ovulate, I was put on one drug to stimulate a period and clomid to ovulate. It took us 3 cycles and I fell pregnant!!! :smiliedance:
I was on the lowest dosage of both drugs, had some side effects from clomid (mood swings, hot flushes) but would recommend anyone give it a try after being thoroughly informed of how it works - this is vital. I'm sure I would have fallen pregnant in earlier attempts if I had listened to my Gyno's instructions much more carefully about ovulation.
Best of luck with your appointment. There are lots of things out there to help us fall pregnant, it is just a case of finding what will suit whats going on with your body, being well informed about what you are doing and relaxing a bit. ( I hated people telling me this, but it really is true :yes: ).

I got my BFP on my 1st cycle of clomid- I was given it for un-explained infertility as I was ovulating naturally each month.

I was on clomid for both of my pregnancies. Sophie tok me about 6 cycles, Lachy I fell pregnant on the first one.
