Is She Teething??

HI MY DD IS JUST OVER 4 MONTHS OLD AND FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS OR SO SHE HAS TURNED OFF HER BOTTLES ONLY DRINKING HALF THE RECCOMMENDED AND HALF OF WHAT SHE USE TO. SHE IS ALSO IRRITABLE , DRIBBLING HEAPS, BITING ON HER HANDS CONSTANTLY, HAS RED CHEEKS AND LAST COUPLE OF DAYS HAS HAD A FEW RESTLESS NIGHTS. I TOOK HER TO THE DOCTOR WHEN SHE HAD JUST TURNED OFF HER BOTTLES AND THE DR SAID SHE WAS FINE AS SHE IS STILL PUTTING ON WEIGHT ETC. SO I THOUGHT MAYBE SHE WAS TEETHING BUT I HAD A LOOK AT HER GUMS AND THEY DONT HAVE ANY WHITE BUMPS OR ANTHING.. SO DO YOU THINK SHE IS TEETHING?? SORRY FOR LONG POST..

She could be teething, but that doesn't necessarily mean there will be teeth any time soon, they could just be moving around under her gums and hurting her which is why she is chewing her hands.
If you are worried about how much she is drinking maybe try giving her smaller feeds more often thru the day. I had to do that with DD for a while, then one day she just started to want more again at each feed.

If you are still worried about your bub in a couple of days or she seems to get worse go see a dr again, she might have a cold or a sore ear or something that wasn't noticed before.

Oh, my kids showed similar teething signs at around 3-4mths old...DD got her first teeth at 7mths, but DS didn't get any til he was 17mths old, so it could be a while before you see any teeth.
