Good one Rian...knew you would get one organised!
I can only do Friday 23rd or Tuesday 20/27th at this point, cause have to go to stay with the relo's, Jock has a hearing test, the usual ot, ei, speech....so if I don't make this one we will have to meet up another time!

I'm volunteering at the RNW stall at Stockland Jesmond on either Thurs 23 or Fri 24th. When I know when I'm going to be on. I can then vote for which date I'm free.

Shanaynay
11-03-2007, 19:12
I voted all days I can make it. Thurs and Fri are the best days for me  and Wednesday is always a no-no

Location: where abouts are we thinking, although don't give detail? Ie: Newie, Singo, Maitland?
Just wondering as I am car-less most days and just need to know in advance if I need to organise to have the car!

I am going to Melbourne for a week shortly so I won't be around much in this thread, so organise the meet, send me the PM, and I'll be there if it's not a Wednesday, and it's on the 22nd or after :)

I can do most days, just not Tuesday mornings (new playgroup). Dayne's in preschool on Thursdays and Fridays but I can still come to a meet, just not with him

I've voted on the poll.

Please pm me too!

I can make several of those dates but others are not so great for me, I'm happy to see what comes too. I was also going to invite you all to my place for a special reason, but I'll PM as many of you as I can because I don't want to breach any guidelines.

Hi charlis mum and cake - we'd love to meet you :D

Ok my Melbourne plans have changed - I'm going next week, not this week!
So plz disregard what I said earlier!

So if it's next thurs/fri or the following mon, I can't make it,
but if it's THIS thurs/fri, or the thrus/fri two weeks away, I'll be there!!

Does that even make sense? :p

I can't do this friday either now!

We're getting our place pest controlled and thats the only day they can do it! I'm so cranky about it, we moved into this house 2 weeks ago with our dog, with the conditions set that the place is pest controlled when we leave. The last tenants also had a dog. Well not even a week after being here our dog is infested with fleas, and Hannah has flea bites on her legs from being outside in her walker for just an hour one day. I'm guessing the last tenants didn't do the pest control. Gotta ring up the agents now and make sure they're paying the $240 bill- there's no way we should have to!

Hopefully we can arrange another day to meet soon!

x Kate

mummyof5
14-03-2007, 13:09
They may not do it, as there is a grass flea plague around the area at the moment, and it's probably where they are coming from...we had to bomb the house twice in a week and I have used more surface spray in the last month than in the rest of my life!! Will probably bomb again at end of the week...joys of an older house where they get in from outside easily.... I had to bath the kittens the other week - they did not enjoy it at all!
:fingerscrossed: your real estate comes to the party.

I can't do either Friday, but hopefully many of you can make it to my place on the 27th. Let me know if you didn't get my PM.

cake
14-03-2007, 21:21
Kylie, my real estate is paying for it! I'm SO glad, there's no way we could afford it and we shouldn't have to anyway. They should bill the last tenants! He was going to do in the house too but I don't think that's wise as Hannah's crawling. So we'll just get him to do the outside.

Mamabear- I'm hoping to come on the 27th! Hope to see some of you there!

Mmmm..... donuts...... :p

I'm still all good for coming on Friday, providing my sickly kids are all better! I'll only have Hannah with me, as Dayne will be in preschool.

Whereabouts exactly are we going to meet? Coz its quite a big place. Do you want to meet at a certain entrance, or next to the big playground/play equipment area?

Should we do the BubHub thing of tying a ribbon to the stroller so we know who's from Bubhub? Doing something like that avoids the embarrassing situation of asking people if they're from the group and them having no idea what we're talking about! :p

I'm here!
I was in Melbourne for a few days, back now :D

Will be there on Friday with bells on!

Where we are going, there is a kiosk type thing with drinks, chips, ice blocks etc..., but I don't think they have coffee etc...

You guys will definitely spot me. My pram is BRIGHT PINK, and I'll be there early, so you'll at least know who I am :D

Now, anyone who isn't quite sure where it is, PM me if you like, it is extremely simple. You can see it from the highway

Today I met Charli's mum at a nappy party! She's just lovely and is planning on coming on Friday so you'll all get to meet her. And Charli is just gorgeous

27-03-2007, 22:08
Mmmm scones and donuts! What will I bring...? I'll have to have a think...

I've still got Bailey home sick. She hasn't thrown up today but has had temperatures still, so she'll stay home tomorrow too. She should be alright by Thursday though. Hannah has a rash on her arms, legs and face. Not her tummy or back much though, which is weird. It looks like a measles rash, and we are behind on her needles due to the moving house process taking two months and having no gp. We had her booked in for last week but she had a nasty flu so we cancelled it, but maybe that flu was part of this virus. The rash isn't bothering her, its a bit paler today so hopefully it'll be gone by tomorrow. I wont' bring her if she's contagious obviously, but I'm guessing she's over the contagious time anyway.

Sorry I missed the nappy party today- sounds like it went well! Can't wait to meet you all in a few days! I'll have a think about what I can bring for us to eat...

:D Thanks! It was great to meet you too! I feel a bit more confident about meeting everyone on Friday now that there will be one familiar face!

We have a 2L coleman drink cooler - and i think that is meant to do for hot stuff too (better check with my sis as it is on loan from her), so i can always fill that with boiling water & bring some styrofoam cups with some coffee & tea bags so we can have a cuppa? Not sure how many of us there will be or if there will be enough - but it might get us a few. I opnly live about 5mins away from the park, so it should stay hot for a bit. I thought we had one too, so i'll get DH to look in the garage tonight to see if he can find it!

Seeya all on Friday - can't wait!

Oh Rian, it will happen :hugs:
It has too - otherwise what will happen with all James' nappies when he grows out of them!!! :D

I'm not actually sure of the name of the street that it is on (the entrance) but it is extremely easy to find, it's right next to the highway, so if anyone doesn't know where to go, please PM me and I'll explain it to you

28-03-2007, 15:49
Rian, sorry to hear about AF turning up. I fell pregnant straight away with my first three kids, so when it took 5 months with Hannah it was really upsetting. Although I know for some people 5 months is quick, its still long enough to get disappointed when AF comes. (((Hugs)))

The coffee/tea idea sounds great! I think I have one of those thermos things too, so I might bring that as well. I don't have any styrofoam cups, but I do have plastic spoons, so I'll bring those and some coffee and sugar, if you could bring the tea and cups- then we're set!

Cool! I spoke to my sister & she said she thought her cooler was meant for cool only, and that heat was not a good idea, but i had been impatient and already half filled it with boiling water! Then i made myself a coffee 10mins later - it was still piping hot and there is no damage to the cooler - so i rekon it's fine! It will make about 15 cups! Can you tell I have no life at the moment 'cause i stood there & tipped cups full of water into it until it was full to check!
So i'll bring it with the cups, decaf coffee, tea & milk!

29-03-2007, 06:53

Am going to make orange and poppyseed cake today:thumbsup: ,then see how I am getting on time wise, feeling very much like hanging out in the kitchen today:yes: . Must be the cooler weather.

Hi Girls,

I may not get there until about 10.30. Hannah woke up at 6 this morning, instead of her usual 7.30, so I had to put her in bed after taking the kids to school, whereas normally she'd stay awake until about 10.30. Normally her morning sleep is her only good one, So I'll give her at least 45mins sleep, otherwise she'll be a nightmare all day!

See ya there!

I'll second that! It was a great morning - Charli crashed out in the car on the 5min trip home, then ended up having nearly 3hrs sleep when we got home.
I missed the repairman for the dishwasher by 20mins - AND he wouldn't come back! Said i had to call F&P on their 1300 no and re-book. How rude!! I was meant to wait at home between 12-5, and he couldn't come back for a measly 20mins. Oh well, i think i'll try & find someone cheaper anyway - their service charge was ridiculous $$.

Look fwd to the next one - hopefully i'll have a newborn to bring along.
