(due date March 1st)I was up on bubhub writing in the march thread on the 27th around 9ish.. i think whinging that i thought i'd be the only one to have a baby "in march" haha, coz so many of the girls ended up having feb bubbies!
ANYWAY i turned off the computer and went to lay down and watch some tv and eat some ice as i hadnt been sleeping too great for weeks.. around 10pm i was feeling contractions but dp had said earlier "please just dont go into labour tonight i am so tired" :laughing: i just passed the pains off as braxton hicks but by 10.30pm they were coming every 3minutes and werent easing up.. then my back started playing up so i called the midwife..
after she realised this was my 3rd bub and i lived 45minutes from the hospital she said to get down there asap. so poor dp had to wake up, i went next door and woke my mum who was watching my girls and off we went(ofcourse forgetting the camera!!).
after a "fun" car drive where i would lean forward with every contraction and dp had to rub my back and have me abusing him for the bumpy road haha we got to the hospital just after midnight..
Went straight into a really nice labour room and was checked and found out i was already 5cm, they called my dr and he said to break my waters.. that was done and we were left for a bit.. dp asked them for a hot pack and continuously rubbed my lower back through contractions.. by 1.30 i had had enough and they offered me peth again so i agreed, it was about 1.45 i really really wanted an epidural!! but with no doctors in sight i gave up that dream pretty quickly..
By 2am i had a massive urge to push as the pressure was unbearable.. i couldnt stay still on the bed so after one push i moved onto all fours, the next push and her head was out and with the third push our baby girl entered the world at 2.06am February 28th!! I got a slight tear and internal grazing.. but the birth was amazing.
bub weighed 3450grams, 50cms long & 33cm HC. She has extremely dark brown hair, pretty much black and dark blue eyes. She's absolutely gorgeous!!
Her big sisters love her to bits and have been amazing.
