Not sure if this is in the right area but im just wanting some ideas.
I need to sleep !
Im often up to 2am these days & so im back up round 6am its killing me !!!
Ive never been a good sleeper but its getting ridiculous now with bubs im tired all the time & i know it will start having an effect on him if im not careful.
I was sleeping a little better a few months ago but then bubs started cutting teeth so i was often up 5 or 6 times a nite with him being very upset. He now is more settled & only stirs the once but never totally wakes its just me !!!!!!.
Can anyone else give me some ideas to try ive tried all the relaxation techniques, warm milk, lavender oil etc.
Well thanx in advance :)

Do you have a sleep during the day when your bub does? I used to try to, when my boys weren't tag teaming their sleeps, try and at least have half an hour snooze when they had their sleep. If you can't get it at night, try to get some in during the day.

Maybe you could move bub into his own room at night (if he isn't already). That way you might be less likely to wake with his every noise and movement. You might only wake when he is fully awake. I would definetly lay down through the day when you can just to recharge your batteries.

Yeah i know i can sleep through the day i just feel guilty as there is so much more i should be doing like housework auugh
Bubs has his own room now but i still seem to wake to every movement lately its like he is a newborn all over again ! Ive gotten so used to waking up approx every hour over the last month or so cause of his teeth. I wouldve thought things would be easier now he is almost 9mths especially as i cant complain due to him sleeping from 7pm through to 6am one of our friends has a bubs round the same age & she still wont sleep through of a nite. So really i shouldnt be complaining i just feel like its getting worse with me sometimes still being awake at 3 or 4am & im getting heaches through the day from being so tired.
Guess a daytime nap will be in order from now on.

.

Don't feel guilty. You work very hard as mother and you deserve a break, housework can ALWAYS wait.
Remember the best thing you can give your DD is to look after her mother.

Hi allyoo, I can recommend a homeopathic treatment that helps with insomnia.

As it is homeopathic, it does not make you drowsy nor does it cause any harm to your body.

It is called "sleep and insomnia relief" made by Brauer and can be purchased from most Chemist's or health food stores.

It's a little tablet that you put under the tongue when you go to bed (sweet tasting) and it basically relaxes the mind and helps to stop the mind racing (or thinking about things).

We originally got it (through our Naturopath) for DH as he used to be unable to go to sleep at night because his mind was racing and it really helped. I too use it sometimes now.

Hope you get some relief soon. My suggestion will probably mean you won't need a day nap, so you may just have to do that housework - sorry

I too am incredibly tired all day though my kids are very good sleepers its just im restless and so i end up tired all the time. I used to sleep during the day but my 4yr old no longer has a nap so i can't. i might try those tablet. Question though they don't knock you out too much that you wont wake to a crying baby do they

Yup, I have always had success with homeopathics...Perfect solution because it doesnt involve chemical drugs. Homeopathics are minute doses of the ingredient and they are amazing - we always use them on the kids. No, they wont knock you out at all, as in , they wont make you drowsy...they will just calm the mind and relax the body but you will still function the same:)
