I have two little girls 11m and 2y11m. I am having a great deal of trouble with the 11m old sleeping. We did controlled comforting with our older girl when she was about 20m and it was relatively painless and only took about 2 nights. Our 11m DD was a fantastic sleeper from birth, I just put her in wrapped with dummy and she put herself to sleep. Now she is waking all night, and won't put herself to sleep anymore. I am trying controlled comforting at the moment because she is still breastfed and waking all night, won't go back to sleep without endless feeding and rocking in my arms. I am just exhausted, I feel I can't sit there for ages twice a day to get her to sleep and just neglect my older DD or keep telling her to go away. I don't know what to do, the 11m is crying in her cot for up to an hr and physically shaking and making herself hoarse. It is breaking my heart but I feel very torn and know that whichever way I go it is not in one of the DD's best interests. We've moved cities about 6 weeks ago and DH is working very long hours and not much help. I gave the kids an adjustment time and now need to get our lives and our sleep sorted out.
