Which nappies to you think are best?
I thought we could keep this thread simple by just replying with the names of the nappies.
I was going to do a poll but knew i would prob miss some brands, so what do you think is best for your bub/kids??

Huggies are definetely the best quality. We use huggies for night and snugglers for day. I can't justify buying huggies for all day use because snugglers are fine for during the day.
Its just that huggies are soo expensive. I bought a box of snugglers, and got 20 extra nappies for $10 less than if I bought huggies!!!!!

ALDI Mammia here
i also use cieo, some times huggies may enter my house if i run out at night time and ALDI is shut, but i really cant stand them, IMO i pay for nappies to work not to rip.
oh i also use to buy bi-lo nappies sometimes they were great but we dont have bi-lo anymore coles has taken over
Greenkids :smiliedance: . I just wish they had snaps instead of velcro. I am loving my nappy band though.
I've stolen one of them for my head :o (sposie users don't worry! I'm not wearing a nappy on my head! )

The Aldi brand Mammia are just such good value I love them.
I have had massive problems with snugglers and I recommend you don't buy them. The seem to have no absorbancy at all?!

Only if you dispose of them in the right way. If you throw them out in the rubbish they still end up in landfill.
I was a bit disapointed when I found this out
My faves are:
Bumgenius
Pocket Change
Haute Pockets
Just for everyone's information... I think the best disposable nappies on the market are Safeties Nature Nappy as they are 100% biodegradable. Developed by a mother after years of research, the nappy is fabric-based (not paper-based) with a low thread count. I think she was on ABC's The New Inventors.
Also, there is an excellent illustration of degradable nappies on the eennee's site:
Click on the link right at the bottom of the homepage.

"Under the right soil conditions", which don't occur in landfill.
But the biggest problem with the biodegradability debate is that landfill, whilst "visible" to the consumer (they can see the rubbish truck come), isn't necessarily the most problematic impact of single-use nappies. The massive impacts are in manufacturing: raw materials/land use, energy/emissions, and even water (which is higher for single-use nappies than for best-practice home laundering of reusables). I think the corporates just looooove the predominance of the solid waste debate, because they can trumpet their biodegradability and greenwash with gay abandon.
Anyway, to my favourite nappies: Cherub's Kiss honeyboys, Sandra's Stuffables, Erica Nappies (Very Baby), Bubba J, Pookey pockets - and wool soakers. Prefolds and Bummis covers for a young baby.
