Just a quick moan and whinge about sinus and snotty nose

I am loving my pregnancy now that MS is over and I am not throwing up all the time. I even have managed to remember to get up and walk slowly so that i dont get light headed...

BUT

I am JACK of this snotty, sniffy, sneezy, itchy nose that just isnt a cold but isnt getting to be much else than a right pain in the ***.

I am sniffing in a grotesque way, have stopped caring what people think - that i am a druggie or something. I am sniffing and snorting and sneezing like its no body's business...yesterday i sneezed so strong i think i spat on the floor (noiiiiiice, i hear u say)

anyway "vent" - thats all from me

feeling better (although snotty) now :-)

sorry to hear about your sinus and snottiness it's just awful I know! How long have you had it for? I got the same thing early in this and my last pg but lasted a week. It then came back last week and it was unbearable for the week it hung around as it affected by sleep! I know ur not supposed to use decongestant nasal sprays but I had to use it twice before going to bed. It was either that or I would stop breathing in my sleep. I hope clears up for you quick smart! :fingerscrossed:

Ah MammyMammy you just bought a BIG smile to my face. Thak goodness I'm not the only one. You have just explained EXACTLY how I am feeling.

i am also making the most gross noises, ones that iwould normally tell DH off for if he made it, you know the nose drawback, like in titanic where leo is "hocking" it up. i have to, if i dont retch city comes along.

oh and i also have a crusty snotty nose.....should be grateful last time i had this and bloody noses....so i'd blow to get rid of the snot and cause a bleed :banghead:

I am 20weeks pregnant an have had this from about 5weeks pregnant mammymammy so I can totally sympathise!!!
It is sooooooo annoying! I have never had allergies in my life, all of a sudden I feel allergic to everything - even my precious cats make me sneeze and wheeze sooo badly!!
It is a very strange symptom of pregnancy that I didn't get last pregnancy so I never knew existed until it happened to me this time around!!
Every night when I get up to go to the loo ( at least twice) I spend about half an hour trying to go back to sleep because I get so congested it really is awful, but it will be long forgotten when I am holding my new bubba in my arms!

I'm the same Julie - never suffered from allergies. I am FOREVER sneezing and sniffling now!

I wonder if there's anything that we can take. I'm going to ask the OB on Friday.
