OB & Hospital Recomendation in Sydney

Need some help....now 8 weeks and need to find an OB.

Hospital will be either The Sans or Hills Private.

Can anyone recomend either of these hospitals and the OB they had?????

I had my little girl at Westmead Private 14 months ago and my ob also goes to the Hills. His name is Dr Siri-Wardena and he was excellant. I don't know his number for the Hills but ring the hospital and they will give it too you.

He was a lovely dr, I was in and out of hospital from 28 weeks and he would even ring me at home to check on me.

Another lovely ob that goes to the SAN is Dr Hannah, he operated on my mum not long ago and he was very very nice. Again I'm sure the SAN could give you his details.

The other option is to ring both hospitals and ask them to fax you a list of all the obs that go there. Your GP could also recommend someone.

Congratulations. I too am very newly pregnant (only 5 weeks!) and faced the same choice as you. I am in the same area, and my doctor at Pennant Hills recommended Dr Khan at the San.

Don't meet her until 10 weeks but apparently she has a very good reputation, and I've heard the San has a great maternity section. A few of my friends have had their babies there and were really pleased with the aftercare, the midwives really gave them all the rest they needed etc.

I had my last baby at Prince of Wales Private, Randwick and anything has to be better than that. (I've obvioulsy since moved too).

Hi there,.. a friend of mine had a really bad experience at Hills Private,....36hour labour, forceps and then emerg. CS,... pretty terrible!

I had Scarlett at RNSprivate and am booked in there for #2,.. it was the most brill experience,.and I have the loveliest Obbie,... if you want I can PM his details to you?
