Hi ladies!

I am studying externally and internally and I am in 3rd year. The subject I am doing externally is 'Research with Young Children' and I am a little confused about the first research project.

Did anyone do this subject? I have a funny feeling its just UniSA students.

But if you did do that subject, Ive love to hear from you... I have a few questions.

Thankyou! :D

Hi there!

I'm studying early childhood via distance education through charles sturt. I don't know that I'll be any help but willing to try!

I am first year (out of two years).... this course is a follow on from diploma (I am currently a team leader in a 0-20 months room). My first two subjects are wellness and wellbeing and multiple understandings.

Let me know if I can be of any assistance.

Lauz

I just finished a B.Ed (early childhood). But I don't think I did that subject. I did a research project subject, but not sure how similar it is. PM me if you want to try your questions on me;)

hey you girls can help me with my decision. i am studying early childhood through UNE, but have deferred this semester to be with new bub. i have onyl completed 2 untis and jsut don't know if i want to continue. i was workign as a director at an ABC cntre, and haev got 12 mth mat leave. if i can help it i won't go back as i really did not like bein director, or wokring for ABC. i've been in the industry for 10years and simply don't know if childcare is for me anymore. i don't want to have completed uni with a HECS debt to then not continue in it anymore. i have another 3.5 years to go.

well, you're luckt to be at the beginning of your course and thinking like that. I got to 2/3 thorugh and decided that childcare is just not for me at all. I left Uni and tried to find work, but it was really hard with a partial degreee and hardly any experience. So, I decided to go back and finish what I started. I took more time off again when I had DD, but it is now finished and I am so proud of myself for getting a degree. The thing is, with this degree, you are not limited to childcare, I work as a school teacher (casually) and it's great, but you can do many things even, corporate management! If that's your thing. But, being in your position at the start of the course, you could switch to any other course and probably get credit for the subjects you've done. I'd say, use this time you have off with your beautiful bubba to do some soul searching yourself and try to work out what you really want to invest your life in to make you and others happy in life. all the best:hugs:
