Hi

I was just wondering how all of your premmies are doing?

My son wasn't too prem, he was born by emergency c-section at 33 weeks due to PROM (Premature Rupture Of Membranes) at 30 weeks, infection and breech presentation. He was a pretty hefty 2.035kg, and only stayed in hospital for just over 3 weeks.

He's 18 months old now, and is such a cheeky little monkey! He climbs everything and even managed to climb out his sisters bedroom window last week, thank goodness he didn't hurt himself! I swear he's going to give me a heart attack one day!

Anyway... I just wanted to say 'Hi'.

Hi my DS1 was born at 34 weeks do to PROM. He is now 2 and like any other 2yr old he is cheeky, full of beans and throws those lovely 2yr old tantrums. He shows no signs of being a premmie apart from being a bit on the smaller side in his weight gain.

Glad to hear both of your children are doing well!

Zach was born at 31 weeks from severe pre-eclampsia and IUGR. He was 1260grams 2lb 12ounces and is now 4.5 and is just on 14kg.

Aside from having growth issues still and some minor but related to prematurity health issues he is doing very well now!

Isobella was only 5 weeks early and a hefty 2615grams, 5lb 12 ounces, she is now 20 months and shows absolutely no signs of prematurity :D

yea my bub was born at 29 weeks due to severe pre eclampsia as well - 1024 grams, now just 10kilos at two and a half. Although we had a few problems with her during the first year, she has actually passed her milestones for both her corrected age and her actual age, so she is going great guns!

my dd was born at 33 weeks and at 5 pounds 13 ounces was a big premmie!! she is now nearly 5 and is going really well.

the only sign of prematurity that she has is that she has severe lung probs every winter from lung damage when she was born.

she was premature due to iugr and nil amniotic fluid left

she is just beautiful though and we are currently ttc.
