TV & VCR/DVD button shields?

I have seen these shields on the Babies'R'Us site, (American :rolleyes:), and they shield the TV/VCR/DVD buttons and are perspex, so your remote will still work fine.

Does anyone know where i can get them in Oz? I have no access to Toys'R'Us or anything either....:(

Do you have your vcr/dvd etc... in a cabinet/unit? Our VCR (DVD players weren't really around way back when DS#1 arrived!) fits into a spot on the unit and I bought a piece of perspex (I got a smoked one so it matched the timber) that I had measured for and then bought two little hinges and just made a flap/door over the front. The remote still worked fine and DS couldn't work out how to open it so stopped bothering!
The perspex only cost about $5.

Hmm, that's a good idea Sal, though DH won't let me attach/screw anything to the unit :rolleyes: (reasonably new and expensive). I'm not even allowed to fit child-proof latches to the doors in case they peel off the finish....MEN! :banghead: You'd think he'd rather fit them than get our expensive stereo etc wrecked, but i guess it has to happen before he'll listen! :rolleyes:

Have you tried somewhere like Bunnings? They have some 'babyproofing' stuff :)

Thanks Michelle. :thumbsup: And no, not the DVD player as yet, but she's always turning the TV off, especially at the most important bit of a show! :banghead: The DVD guard is more for the older little rat.....:rolleyes:

DS figures out tv and dvd buttons really quickly...its so annoying when he is forever opening the dvd player or turning the tv off when we are watching something....he also likes turning the power points on and off :banghead:

would love to find covers for both of these.

'Crazy Clarks' in NSW is 'Clints - Crazy Bargains' and 'The Warehouse' in QLD is 'Solly's' in NSW.....

Just so you know, as there is probably the stores around somewhere near by....
