Formula Change???

Hi

Lachie has been suffering from constipation for a little while - I'm assuming it is the Karicare AR formula. I know these formulas are known for constipation so had been giving water with every day feed which made no difference. Last night I gave water with brown sugar with instant success. I obviously don't want to continue with this so was wondering.....should I try say a normal formula ie Heinz Nurture Gold with Karicare Thickener or try something like Karicare Sensicare HA AR??

Any advice would be much appreciated!!

hey i have been there an know how hard it is but my CHN said to get dryed prunes and boil them in water for i bit then drain it all then give that prune water to bub. hope that helps

Personally I would try the Nan HA Gold, it is hydrolysed and less likely to cause constipation if there is a milk protein intolerence.

The Karicare to my knowledge is thickened also, which may cause binding so thus the constipation.

I used to give the water and sugar every couple of days and it would keep both my boys pretty regular, without it they would go 8 days...ouch!
