Do you have a thermometer?? Take his temp if you can. If it's above 38, give panadol. Try and give him small amounts of fluid. Even if he vomits again, there will be some getting to where it should be. Don't give him cold water out of the fridge as will upset tummy more. Tap water temp. No juice, just water... If he is vomiting uncontrollably, take him to hosp or dr..

What colour is vomit??

I don't really know what you can do except give baby some small sips of fluids to prevent dehydration.Does he have a temperature?
I think I'd be going to the doctor/hospital to be on the safe side.Have you got a car? If not,do you have a neighbour that could take you?

Sorry, not much help :o but let us know how you go.

all but his last vomit were white-clear, the last one seems to have left small brown/red spots on the towel I cleaned it up with :(

I have no way of getting to or contacting a doctor :(

Okay, try not to panic...

Give him small amounts of tap water... make sure he doesn't guzzle it down or he'll vomit again.

Feel the back of his neck..does it feel hot? If so, put a cold face cloth on the back of it.

He sounds like he might be in a bit of shock from the vomiting. Do you have any ice blocks? If so, see if he'll suck on one...

What's his temp?

Thanks to everyone for their help.

I was a mess by the time we found out what was wrong with Thomas, apparently it was a sever reaction to the teaspoon of mashed banana we gave him the day before it happened. I had no idea he could react so violently to a small amount of fruit. Don't know what we're going to feed him besides breastmilk and rice cereal, everything else seems to react badly with him, especially apple.

Oh well, he's ok now, thanks again.

My older daughter used to vomit as well from banana when she was a baby. I thought she had a virus at first but I gave her banana a second time and she vomited again.

She did grow out of this. I tentatively tried banana again at 15 months and she was fine. She is 3 now and eats heaps of banana without any problem.
