'Delivery by appt' a csect book!!!

Tonight I found a book solely written about ceseareans! I could hardly believe my luck.

Its called Delivery by appointment - Ceasarean birth today its written by Michelle Hamet

I have only read a little so far and flicked through it but so far its FANTASTIC.

It is not written for or against csects, it is just lots of information on your choices before, during and after... how to prepare, what to do afterwards and what not to do... and some personal accounts on positive and negative csect experiences.

Its written for people who are looking at electing to have a csect, have been medically told to and for those of us that have had thme already!

I thought a few more women on here might find this book as useful as I am so far, the author has herself had 4 csects :)

What a fantastic idea...there is so much literature out there for natural birth's, we need more information for c/section deliveries. I had an emerg c/s and had no idea what I was going to go through, maybe we need some more education on it at the ante-natal classes.

thanks for that Charmzy, you think after having the 3 c-secs eact that we would know everything, but everytime i go back, something new, another surprise!

yeah I totally know what you mean!! Every experience is very different just as I imagine every birthing experience is very different also!

The book is absolutely brilliant, I've finished reading it now and gone back over a few bits!
