I have just tested again and not even a hint of a line!
I guess that AF should be comming in the next few days and i can try again next month.
What a let down to have a false positive on the doctors test. :(
DH was even going to take me out to dinner...

it's stressfull isn't it?

I was just reading your thread from yesterday. You forget how much the testing bit is on your mind nearly every second that passes.

as you've only just come off the OCP, it might be playing with your cycle - that and the stress from anticipating results.

don't worry - there is always next month!

yes i know.

Just thought that i was actually pregnant and now i dont think i am. I feel it but i guess the blood test would show something if i was.

Never mind

Can you still have negative blood and stick test when you are on the day that AF is due and be pregnant ? Is there still a chance or would i just have to accept that its negative?
SOrry to have to go on and on but i am so confused and i cant seem to be able to do much else at the moment than think about this.

Maybe the hormone level isn't high enough yet to register.

Do you have any symptoms? Tender breasts?? When is AF due??

Yes i have sore breasts, some nausea throughout the day, peeing all the time, very emotional aswell.
Af is due today but i came of the pill last month, had AF i think on the 5th november. SO that would make me due today?
ALso had AF pains about 1 - 1 1/2 weeks ago but no AF

Don't count it out that you could be pregnant until that AF rears its ugly head!!!

There is still hope for you yet :)

Those Af pains from a week ago, could be ovulation pains. I get shocking pains from ovulating......

I never usually get AF pains halfway through a cycle so something is different this time round.
I have decided to ring the doctor and ask her if the pregnancy tests that she uses comes up with a positive after a certain amount of time when it could be negative.
Apparently she will ring me back.

Oooooooooh fingers crossed for you. I had 3 tests that showed negative, and the one at the docs showed positive... so hold on until you hear from the docs, or AF rears her ugly head.

I just read this:

A blood test is more accurate, but it depends on the type you get. Many doctors will order a simple qualitative hCG. It only gives a yes or no answer, but doesn't register your HCG levels. If you are early in your pregnancy, and your levels are low, you may get a false negative. A quantitative blood test will measure the exact amount of hCG present. It will detect even the most minimal level.
