Oh my goodness!!!!!
Did anyone see Oprah today? There was a lady on there talking about "baby language" it's a universal language that all babys speak that tell us what they want/need. There are 5 'words/sounds' that are in their pre-cry that tell us whats wrong. It's a reflex thing. Like when you go the doctor and they tap your knee and your leg kicks up.
Well I've been listening to Cooper all afternoon and it has been right everytime:yelclap:
For the first time in weeks he happily slept while I was having dinner!
"Neh" is the pre-cry sound they make when they are hungry. It comes from the sucking reflex they have, with their tongue on the roof of their mouth, you need to listen out for the N sound.
"Owh" is the pre-cry for I'm tired, like the shape their mouth makes when they are going to yawn.
"Heh" is discomfort, like if they need their nappy changed, listen out for the H sound.
"Nar" is Low gas, its a guttsy sound when they need to do their business;) Listen from the R sound at the end.
"Eh" the sound for needing to burp. It's a reflex of them trying to bring up their wind. Listen for the E sound.
I recognised a lot of these cries before learning this, eg. I knew his hungry cry, but I didn't identify what it was about it.
Have a go at listening to your babies, it's so amazing:thumbsup:
