HCG Advice

Hi all,

My husband and I are TTC#1. I have been off the pill for ~6 weeks now and although this is my first cycle, so am not sure entirely sure, I am at day 33 so est I am about 5 days late.

Around the time I think I was due I got that heavy feeling in my stomach and so far have had a couple of days of very very light spotting but nothing further. Have had a headache for last few days and been a little more tired that usual also some absentmindedness but nothing major.

I did a HPT a couple of afternoons ago and was negative but I'm wondering if anyone nows how long it can take for HCG to show up?

Usually the HPT's can pick up HCG levels at around the day you're due. I recommend you do another test and if it still shows up negative go to the doctor for a blood test. They are usually more accurate then the HPT's. Also coming off the pill can make weird symptoms. It may take a while for your body to adjust coming off it. Hope that helps.

Dont forget there is MORE hcg in your first morning pee! So your more likely to get a more accurate result first thing in the morning.

Thanks - will try HPT again tomorrow morning. Hopefully I was just a little too early for the last test :0)
