Hi
Just wondering if anyone in here works at night and if so what do you do?
I am on leave at the moment but I used to work late nights or early mornings doing presentation of Coles - similiar to night fill but no lifting involved you just face the labels on every item in the store the same way.

i am going back friday night - bubs is six weeks and i work after hour shifts (organised to work 11pm - 5am shifts as bubs will be sleeping and hubby home for me to nap over the weekend) i work in the transport industry in the call centre - everyone needs taxis  . It is great - i love it and that is why i am going back to work so soon - i miss my 'mates' i made there.
very much looking forward to going and having a chat about the last few months ;)
I have stopped working for now but I used to be a bar supervisor. Weekends were rough cos hubby would be going to work when I got home in the morning @ 5 ,my darling twin boys would also be awake eating breakkie. I'd have to wait untll after lunch to get some sleep!

I do nightfill at woolies as 2ic usually 5 to 6 nights a week  Slowly getting used to the lack of sleep...
Oscars mum my boss is real fussy and we do presentation every night (even tho its generally woolies policy that we dont have to) Us nightfillers have to do that after we fill, makes for a really long night sometimes. :)
I like working nights though... leaves me free to do all the mummy things during the day still ... even if some days i am a zombie

Hello, just found this thread...was about to start one of my own.
Can I ask how much this type of work pays...per hour I suppose? And do you need experience and how do you go about applying?
I'm a SAHM at the mo'...I love it...I don't want to go back to work...but, we need to do some renovating around the house...so we need some extra $$$ to get started.
Any info would be greatly appreciated...pm's are fine too if you like:thumbsup:

Hi BG ...im with Woolies and get paid 15.50 an hour plus my 2IC loading on top of that.
Experience isnt necessary, i didnt have any when i applied before Christmas and now i am 2IC
ETA: the rate that i am paid is for part time so therefore i get holidays and sick leave as well, casual does pay more but you dont get the added benefits.
Some stores prefer casuals, others part timers
As for applying, it depends what supermarkets you have around you.
Its best to go into the stores and ask to speak to the grocery manager or someone who you can ask about nightfill vacancies.
Woolies do have an site online where you can put in your resume. When you select which stores you can work at, dont listen if it says there are no jobs available there as sometimes they are a little slow in updating the vacancies.
Heres the link

If you apply online with Woolies, do that before you pop into you local store and just let them know you have filled out an online application as well :)
Good luck hun, if you have any other qs dont be afraid to ask :)

I work in a call centre from 6pm to 1am. The money is good. I work 2 shifts one week and 3 the next and take home almost as much as i used to working fulltime.
I'm a wedding florist so I work the night before a wedding and sometimes during the day on weekends. It's great. I love it.
