What is happening?

Hi, i am new here.

I am TTC #2 and this is my first cycle. I am due to test tomorrow but i have lots of symptoms such as nausea, sore(.)(.) and peeing alot.
I swear that i am pregnant but my home tests say that i am not and i have done many of them! Only one gave me the faintest line that you can barely see.
Do you think that its to early to test? If it was too early to test would i have symptoms?
I am going to the doctor today for a blood test to make sure. How long until a blood test comes back?

they say a line no matter how faint is a positive test ;)

blood tests usually take 24 hours

I'm with Devon_Mouse .... I tested very early with both pregnancies and the magic stick delivered a very very faint positive. The line gets darker as the levels of hcg increase.

The line is barely there and hubby thinks that i am imagining it!
The test i did today was big negative!
SO confused!

They recommend that you test on or after the day that your AF is due. You can still get symptoms even though you're getting a negative. It may be too early for you to test. The blood test is the most accurate test to do. It can pick up pg as early as 10days after conception. Normally the results are ready by the next day, if you get them done first thing in the morning. My blood test that i had for this pg the doctor put urgent on it and the results was ready 4 hours later. Your symptoms sound promising, dont worry about the HPT's results just yet. They can only pick up 20 units of HCg levels. Some of them can pick up the levels at 10units, but it depends on what tests you get. Good luck and let us know how you go.

When is your AF actually due? Dont worry about your DH, my DH said the exact same thing and im now 8wks pg! :D I think they say that cause they dont want to see that line! :p

Hi there,
When I got pregnant this time I had AF symptoms and took early tests that were all negative. I tested a day or two after AF was due and it was positive. The tests I was using were apparently early tests but just didn't pick it up until I was late.

My first positive test with PJ was so faint I could barely see it, but it was there and it was right!!

I have been to the doctors. She reluctanlty gave me a blood test and urine test was negative! I will find out the results after 4.30pm. I am due for AF tomorrow .
She told me that there would not be enough HCG levels to pick it up!

Hi, would be interested to see how you go with the blood test as this is also my 1st cycle TTC (#1) and est my period is 5 days late, some heavy feeling and very light spotting but nothing further. Although only stopped taking the pill 6wks ago so not entirely sure. HPT a couple of days ago was neg so on advice from forum will try tommorrow morning and then might try book a Dr's appt. Fingers x'd for you!

I did a home test a couple of days before AF was due and got a very very faint line. My DH also thought that I was imagining it! So I went and brought a different brand and did another one the next day - Still a very very faint line.

So off I went to the docs (on the day AF was due) and she did a urine test which came up negative. but she also did a blood test which came back positive! Yeah!!

Good luck with the blood test results - hopefully you will get a positive too! :D

I came of the pill last month also and if its just my hormones playing this game with me i will be one unhappy lady!
I also have been very emotional crying at the slightest thing at work and thats not like me at all.
Did you get AF pains at all?

DOES ANYONE KNOW if AF pains ( and you didnt get AF ) could mean inplantation pains????

Im glad you'll get the results this arvo. Hopefully it'll be a BFP for you! :D Normally HPTs cant pick up the hormone until after the AF is due. I tested with a HPT and got a BFP at 10dpo but i used the Fortel brand which can pick up 10 units of HCG. Good luck with the results this arvo and let us know the good news!

I used fortel utlra , one was negative and the other just did not work at all !
SO far i have done about 7 tests, yep im a serial tester if you could call it that lol.
All negative bar one that has that faint line i was talking about. Faint as in you need to squint to see it :p

Im so scared about ringing up and getting another BFN...............
I guess there is always next month.

I know its not nice hearing a BFN, but like you said theres always next month. Thats the good thing about our fertile lives we can just keep trying and trying until we hit jackpot! :p Dont worry just yet, have faith it might be what you want to hear!

I never once got a positive line (not even feint) on any pregnancy pee on a stick test I did or the Dr made me do. However I was pregnant and apparently with some women it just dosn't show up no matter how far into the pregnany.

OH MY GOD!
I just got the doctors preg test out of the car ( i wanted to take it home) andit has a line. Its light but you can see it and even DH husband could see it. I dont know how long it took to come up, so could it be a false positive??

Congratulations!! I have never heard of anyone getting a false positive before so I would say that chances are you're probably pregnant!! Yeah :p

It could be, but if its there I'd say thats a pretty good idea that you are!
Just going back to the AF pains, I had them constantly for the first trimester. Which is one reason why I didn't figure out I was 12 days late the second time. I'm not regular at all and with cramps and what I thought was being a bit bloated, hey so the nausea should have said something. But it didn't even cross my mind.

Sorry I forgot to mention about the cramps. I'm 6 wks today and for the last week and 1/2 I've had mild cramps on and off. My doctor said that this is completely normal. (oh, also I had spotting during the week that AF was due as well. I completley freaked out about this but everything was ok and its gone now. Just in case you get this as well)

I dont wont to put down your excitement but it could be an evaporation line. If it was left for over 5 mins and a line showed up then its an evaporation line. For an accurate result you have to read the results within the time frame that it tells you. Its normally 5 mins. Sorry to have upset you with this info, i just thought i would let you know. You'll find out soon anyway with the blood test. I really hope that its a BFP for you! :D

Im not 100% sure on it, its just i have heard of people getting lines after the time frame and it wasnt a positive. Like i said before i really do hope that its a BFP for you and your DH. I cant wait til 4.30 to find out your results! :D Im so excited for you.

Oh , I forgot to mention, I had a pregnancy test done at the doc's once and it showed BFN, but as I was leaving around 15 mins later, he came running out to the car parck yelling..Don't go! It had changed to a faint posative. I was definatly preggas :D

I've also had HPT give me BFP, but blood tests come back BFN, but have been pregnant :confused: suprisingly enough some HPT's can be more accurate than blood tests.

Little bebe in my tummy never showed up on a HPT until I was 6 weeks!!! When the doctor told me my blood results he told me I was "definately very pregnant"

4 weeks I think. It was too early for the blood test. I was retested 5 days later and it came up as BFP
