Howdy there ... sorry haven't been round of late ... been very lazy LOL
My parents are at Bargo and I am out there 3-4 days a week cos my kids go to daycare out there (long story)
Anyhow there is a girls night out on Jan 7th at Surry Hills that a gang are going to so I thought I would invite you ladies along to it and as I will be 8mths pregnant I am designated driver so we could all travel together .... my parents will probably be sitting my kids for me!!
Anyway let me know either way.
El
Just wanted to get this onto the new posts page ..... LOL
I live in robertson, wondering if anyone else is near-by
Kyra - does you friend have the net ?? do you think she would be come to the playgroup in moss vale - its only go 1 week left for this year but i could let you know when it goes back if she would like to...
No, she doesn't and is also an older lady with grown up kids, so I don't think she will come to playgroup. I haven't found out exactly where she lives yet, but she is a lovely lady and would love to meet some new friends. She is currently living with her daughter.
Hopefully we can have a meet some time in the new year!

Hi Kylie, I was there from 10.30am and delivered at 5.27pm. I do remember a baby crying when I got there, because my mum and I went ohhhh. My little one is doing great, he is a great sleeper. Did you have a boy or a girl and what did you name him/her. Did you have Dr Macfarlane? I think he is great!
I had the midwife from hell, but thats a long story.
Are you on acerage at Colo Vale? We have 5 acres at Hill Top, but its currently on the market and we are looking to move back in the area or Colo Vale or Mittagong.
This is all to coincidental for me. Love to chat anytime.

Hi Kylie, Yeah I was in Delivery Room 2 and I heard you screaming, thats for sure. Doctor McFarlane came in and told us that you had a little boy and we asked him what you called him and he said "Zack", this is totally weird!!! My mum and I were going "oh that poor girl" and we definitely heard you, you poor thing! Dont worry I started screaming at about 4pm and made just as much noise. My little boys name is Charlie Ross and he is an absolute delight, sleeps up to 7 hours per day. My other little boy Lachlan is getting better each day, he has his nose out of joint a little, but he is a good boy. I cant believe this, this is so bizarre. I want to chat to you some more, so make sure you check this thread, or maybe you could give me your email address and we can chat via emails. My email is jljcoop@bigpond.net.au
Talk again soon, take care of yourself!
Jodi :)

Hi Eleanor, I will have to check on her name again, I think she was new, do you know some midwifes in the hospital? Where are you from?

Hi Kylie, how is Zack going? Charlie is a pretty good sleeper, sleeps most of the day with awake time from about 6pm until 9pm. My other boy on the other hand has decided he isnt going to sleep during the day anymore and is waking up at night, its hard work, ah? JOdi:eek:
i know most of them ... not all though.
I live half the week in Bargo, and the other half in Panania
i had Gai the first time, thenCarol and Kylie, then Janelle .... but out of all the staff my stays have been made more bearable by Gai and Rosemary .... they are absolutely the nicest two ladies i have met ....

hi eleanor,
i used to live when i wa young in picnic point and went to panania puvlic school.
I agree, Gai and Rosemary are the nicest ladies, especialy Gai as I spent a bit more time with her prior to birth. My mid wife was apparently only new and had only just finished her midwiffery. She just seemed very uncaring and wouldnt top me up with epidural and eventually when i asked her to do it again, it was too late and air had got into the tube. I had been in labour for four days and was exhausted fromt he contractions. Dr McFarlane was not impressed and wants us to write a letter, but I will see as I dont want to cause any problems. Its a shame because other than this lady all of the midwifes are wonderful and with my first pregnancy had wonderful ladies all day and all night.
Hey Kylie, where is the playgroup in HIll Top?
Eleanor do you attend any playgroups in Bargo. I have a mothers group that we formed at Tahmoor Health Clinic and we meet once a fortnight at either picton or bowral.
Take care girls

I know EXACTLY what you mean.
I'm at Mum's half the week so feel obliged to clean it (after all it is MY kids that make the mess) but I am so not in the mood for it.
Jodi I think there is a playgroup in the community hall on a Wed morn .... not sure though as my kids are in care on Wed ... at least the older two are. I tried to organise a mums group through the clinic when Alana was born but just didn't get into the click. oh well
And Kylie I'm glad I'm not the only one with a 2.5 yr old "mum" in the house. Declan goes to care on a Thurs and Alana spends half her day going into the nursery to give him cuddles. it is gorgeous but oh so annoying as well.
what are you girls up to on the weekend?? There is a family picnic on Sunday in Homebush if its not raining. it's a great chance to get out and meet others

Hi Kylie, I would love to attend the playgroup, but I have my mother in law coming from up North next week and I have to clean the house all week and do shopping etc., she leaves on the 19th June, so let me know when the next one is and I will definitely try and go and meet you. I have put my name down for the mini rampage dates on EB, so might see you there as well. Hope Zack is feeling better, poor little fella. What day care centre does Kloe go to?
Hi Eleanor, thanks for the info. As you can see above im busy for the next few weeks, but after it all settles down I would love to go. I didnt know there was a playgroup up there, sounds great to me. I will be able to walk up there, its not that far.
take care all
Jodi
OK now I'm confused ... if you are 5 minutes from the community hall then you are literally 8 minutes from me!!! yeah!!!!!!!

Hmm I can feel the jealousy from here lol... Cairns is overcast and rainy for the last couple of days - DH wants to come back so he can remember what the sun looks like!
It looks like we are coming down in February at this stage, are there any good baby (oh by then DS will be a year old so maybe not baby but toddler... anyway you get my drift) shops down there or anywhere I really MUST convince DH to take me... he hasn't been 'home' for 2 years so some things would have changed... I'll be after scrapbooking/craft shops as well  any help would be great
Hi all,
Sorry i haven't been on this site for a while, it's great to see there are a few peolple from the same area, just to answer questions from previous posts, i love living in mittagong, and have adjusted nicely to the cold weather, i am due approx 20th oct,and have not found out the sex of the baby, i thought i might like a suprise, but now i want to decorate the room, i am getting frustrated with all the white and beige, i need some colour, i am still tossing up if to find out or not. Hope you are all well?

Hi simone,
Something that my husband and i decided to do was find out the sex of bubs and then just kept the name a secret so there was still that element of surprise for family and friends and since i know lots of friends who loved the idea and r doing the same thing.
That way you can go buy that little dress or those boys cargo pants.lol:thumbsup:
I am now officially a Southern Highlands Mum.
Moved completely last week and have to look at the highlands schools for my eldest which is a REAL worry for me, as I really don't want him going to Bargo Public although all his friends are from day care.

Hi eleanor, welcome to the highlands.
My sister lives in bargo but refused to send her son to bargo public so she drives him to picton and says its a wonderful school and he's made so many friends there, alot of new ones too that he never went to preschool with. Its not that far only 10min away. Maybe you could send him elsewhere,i know he has his friends going there but kids make friends so quickly and if youd rather he be elsewhere in the long run then it might be worth it.:) Just a thought anyway.
Funny I thought the same. I'm a teacher and did a couple of days relief at Picton and thought it was the most pleasant school I have come across. Glad it's not just me being "snobby."

Any of you looking at going into the meet tomorrow at Darling Harbour. It's usually a lot of fun, whacky but fun.
hello all SH mums. where is everyone??
Hi, i haven't been on here for a while, had maia isabelle 14th oct, so just trying to adjust to motherhood. hope you are all well,i will be around if anyone wants a chat.
simone
Ok so Ciaran is starting at Bargo Public and if I move out of Mum and Dads but stay in the area I will keep looking at the other schools. But at the moment as I don't know if we are moving or not he isn't going to the "local" school with his friends and HOPEFULLY :fingerscrossed: will be all good.
They are doing up the school quite nicely. Have new wooden picnic set and everything and the new principal seems to know wht she is about. I guess only time will tell. ad hey if all comes to all I just enrol him at work and deal with the 5 days instead of 3.
BTW Simba6 your avatar is gorgeous.
Shayley how's your bubba boy doing????
