ive never frozen any deli meat. i always buy it, and its used up within a couple of days.

and YES it is ok to freeze deli meat!

Just make sure its in an airtight bag or container and use your disgretion about when it has been there too long.

Also, another good tip, if they are not a busy place, is to get them to slice it from the large peice while you are there... yes, it might get them annoyed BUT I know the place where I worked, the stuff we actually sold was 2 days old in some cases, because we were a deli in a small grocery store and there werent that many customers buying the meats. Be weary of that!
