is it bad for the chick to propose to the guy?

we are gonna get married we will get engaged but not sure when, we look at rings all the time we have our eye on a ring for me just gotta get the money to buy it really, but i feel the need to propose to him deep down i wanna do it i even want to ask hes mum for her sons hand in marrige i have my eye on a ring for him and everything, he said he would wanna do it but wouldnt mind if i did it. if i were to ask him id buy hes ring 1st and give it to him, then wait a few weeks and get mine.. what do you all think??

I proposed to mine, we're getting married later this year. :)
If he's really shy like mine, but you know he loves you, do it. :D

When you think about it, it's a bit silly saying, "only guys can propose, nerrr".

Look at it this way.. how much more excited/surprised would you be if he popped the question?

I still think it's the guys responsibility.

I'm very traditional, I prefer the guys asking the women...
But that's just my preference, so if you wanna do it I would say go for it! Its really nice of you to ask his Mum, and it would really suprise your DP

Do you know that its supposedly bad luck for a female to propose unless its a leap year?

Good luck anyway, let us know how it goes if you decide to do it! :hugs:

This is what I was going to say!

Tradition is that the male asks the female unless it is a leap year.

I think the tradition of asking the parents is worth keeping alive, it shows respect for their desicion and respect for the partner by allowing them to see that you accept everything that goes with them.
