Had you been diagnosed with SVT before pregnancy or did you notice palpitations since? There are alot of people walking around with this condition and may never know. Others like yourself have it diagnosed and continue to have their heart rythym monitored. I dont know heaps about this condition but as pregnancy can put increased strain on the heart (increased fluid volume etc) it makes sense to me that they would take your SVT seriously.

yeah i have been diagnosed. About 7 yrs ago. They are reffering me to Cardaic specialist that deals with pregnant patients.
Thanks for the help :)
IVe had a higher than normal heart rate for ages and for the last 2 years or so ive been on beta blockers to reduce it back down a little - my ob did have to increase the dose of the beta blockers during pregnancy rather than reduce them which was the original idea at the start as my BP started to go up around 24weeks - the beta blockers didnt seem to have a large effect on the baby's heartrate which was average of 142 when on the slightly higher dose.
My higher heart rate was only picked up cause I had an ECG after an anxiety attack and the doc noticed the resting heart rate was too high considering the amount of oxygen id had.

Hi girls a number of times when i have been at the docs or at hospital they have all noticed that my resting heart beat is elavated but never really looked into it abit more i have been worried about it for a while cause ive heard horror stories of people needing pacemakers and stuff.Should i be asking the doctors more about this and get it checked out a bit more or is it nothing to worry about? What could having an elevated heart rate mean? This has been getting to me for some time i also get heart palpitations for about 20-30 secs at a time not often though.I dont think they are panick attacks cause most of the time im resting and i dont feel panicky.
