Dear All

My 3.5 month old DD has had breast refusal for the past 5 weeks during the day. She fights like mad when I try and feed her during daylight hours, pulls back, goes red, crys, kicks etc etc - just does not want it. She does need it though as she can't survive on the 3 evening/night feeds she takes rather well!!!. I have had to resort to wrapping her tightly when she is tired and ready for a nap, and then jam her on and basically persist until she collapses and feeds to sleep.

I know that this is wrong, but only way to get nurtrition into her. Pead diagnosed with refulx, but Losec has made no difference whatsoever and does not have any other sytmptoms of refux really (quite settled, spills a bit and does not mind being on her back).

Am trying to make feeding time as stress free as possible, and is slightly improving. Trying to win her back to the breast.

Weight gains have been OK (just - minimum desired weight gains per week over a period).

has anyone else had breast refusal for such a long time??? Any suggestions. DD won't have a bar of a bottle either!

Help
