Whenever we are passing a nice jewellery store I make comments on what rings I like most. This might not work for you if you don't want to be so forward. My DP still hasn't popped the question.......we really can't afford it right now

do what i do....lol...whenever you see rings in the jewelry store or catalogue or see a wedding on tv or something just sigh loudly. DP just laughs at me. but he knows what i want, we just cant afford it right now.

we too had talked about it, and knew it would happen... and i just plain got sick of waiting! :D

Sorry I must admit that I did have a bit of a chuckle at you saying you didnt want to and then changing your mind....

You poor sod...

I think propose to him or just say so when do you think we will get married....

I reckon propose though..

go for it... It will catch him reALLY OFF GUARD...

i think sometimes they dont want to feel its uo them, or the pressure and fear of rejection.....

i've done the ring thing LOTS of times and he says "so you like that one?" and i usually say "yeh but its too expensive!" lol. i have been thinking about proposing to him, but i'm a little worried he'll just laugh at me and think its a joke :o

Meh.. just confront him about it and come out with it. Nothing like direct bluntness. I don't believe in subtlety when it comes to getting something you really want.. ;)

if he doesnt mind wearing jewlery...

i bought my DH a nice silver ring (to be worn on any finger, so he still has room for the wedding band when it came)... then he believed it wasnt a joke.
