Small Baby???

I have just had my 19 week scan done where they have since told me that my baby is to small and immature to complete the full cranial and heart morpholigal exams. I am almost 100 per cent sure of my dates, and if I go by my last ultrasound which put me 1 week behind my dates (I say I am 19 weeks, my first us puts me at 18 weeks) this latest us now puts me at 17 weeks. How can my baby be getting younger. Is it possible that I just have a small baby? The only other option other thanwrong dates is that my baby isn't developing normally. Has this happened to anyone else and what was the results??? If I believe that my dates are wrong, I would have found out about my pregnancy at the time I conceived.

i had the exact same thing happen 2 me, i went 4 what i thought was my 18wk scan and was told 2 come back in 2wks cos they didn't think that i was that far along because of the babies size. After 2 wks of stress and worry about y this was so cos i was also very sure of my dates i went 2 the 2nd scan only 2 b told that 3 out of the 4 tests that they do matched my original dates but this meant that they classed me as 19wks not 20???:banghead: BUT i have just been 2 my midwife appointment this week and was told that they will b using my original dates 4 the due date:banghead: :banghead: The only thing that i can b thankfull of is that this is my 2nd pregnancy and i am alot more relaxed, if this had of happened with my first i would have completly freaked out:eek:

Thanks for that Gypsygirl, this is my 2nd too. I am pretty calm about it all too - taking it all one day at a time. It is very disheartening to find out that you are 2 weeks behind schedule though. Of the measurements they took, one was even 16 weeks. I can't wait for the next scan to find out what the hell is going on in there!!!
