One of our beautiful cows went down last weekend and had to be sent to the happy grazing ground in the sky.:crying: . But straight after we sent her there we did a c-section (she was dead)-very crude one- and delivered a little black calf , which was ,luckily, full term. Whilst trying to get her breathing it occured to me I should be checking for a twin and what do you know - there was one. This one was harder to revive but came around in the end. So now I'm a foster mumma to twin girlie calves and I'm putting out a call for name suggestions.
They are both black with white on their little udders. The second born has battled pnuemonia and now joint infections but she is still drinking:fingerscrossed: she'll be OK. I'll post photos if I can work out how -tomorrow.
So name suggestions please.
Their mum was called 'S'.Their dad is 'Panache'. They were born last Saturday night @ 10.30 helped by Stacey & Rob.& they are very cute & cuddly.
