Hi everyone....I have a DS who is 2 months old & I absolute love him more than anything. I love everything about being a mother (it's what I always wanted) and I am clucking to have another one. It sounds so crazy I know cause he is 2 months old but he is an angel. (Has its ups & downs) but truely he is so good. My DH wants to have his children close in age & I agree ( my brothers are 10 year & 6 years older than me so I want my kids to be close in age so they have common interest).
I feel I should wait at least a couple more months but just the thought of having more kids excites me.
Am I crazy or what?? Any other mothers had their children one year apart & how did you cope with a close age?

Hi, my dd is slightly older than yours, but I understand what you mean. I am so clucky, and everytime I see a little bub my heart just melts. Hopefully it won't be too long before Sienna has a brother or sister :)
hi! how lovely that you love being a mama so much, thats awesome! my youngest 2 are 18mths apart, and although it was hard at first the advantages greatly out weigh the disadvantages! :)

Hi
I have 12 months and 2 weeks between my girls, and has its ups and downs. Very hard, but i wouldn't change it for the world. But can't wait to they pass their 3 year olds :p
Its very expensive having them close as they are both in Nappies and that, but now both are toilet trained its great. Just gotta get them off the bottle.
What one wants the other wants, so if you have two of the same sex you will have to buy two of each, not different as they do fight!
I'm very lucky though the two girls get along so well, i hope they are like this when they grow up

Thank you for your replies.....I think I will give it a few more months & try again around March next year. I do think it's great for them to be close in age, it would be hard to begin with but once they are 3-4 onwards hopefully its easier. (No more feeds at nights & nappies).

I had my two 11mths apart
It wasn't planed but now I wouldn't have it any other way ..... I'm just very lucky that I got a really good baby the second time round .... Archie is a very calm baby that eats and sleeps and doesn't require a lot of one on one attention ..... because One year olds are alot of hard work !!!!
Some days are better than others ......but at the end of the day I have two beautiful children that will grow up very close !!!
I think one of the down sides of having babies so close is that it takes a big toll on you body ....... : :)
I plan on having 4 as close together as possible :)
Being a Mum is more wonderful than I ever dreamed and I want plenty more lil angels running around here creating havoc!

I would love to have my kids close in age...My daughter is only 5 weeks old and I am already thinking about our next, talking to my partner about our next one etc.. He probably thinks i'm a nut. I'm worried he won't want to have anymore, as much as he tells me he wants a big family I just don't know if I believe him.
Anyway, we plan on waiting until Amelia is around 1 or 18mths before we ttc. But things may change with time and it may be sooner (haha I can always hope!) :D

I think we will have our kids close too. My hubby is 40 and we want to have our family while he is still young. My little son is just 3.5months and I am so wanting to have a little brother or sister for him close in age. :)

I have a DD that is 8 months and i am 10 weeks so they will be around 14 months apart i am scared but i know they will be good friends.I dont plan on having a big family if i get a boy there will be no more but if it is another girl mayby i will have 1 more later down the track as im only 19.
Hi there Rachael,
I have 2 boys 12 months apart they just turned 8 and 9 last week!!!! Even though it was very challenging at times I wouldn't change it for the world they are the best of friends and the worst of enemies but when one of them isn't here like when one stays at a friends house the other one missing him so much. last night Michael was at a friends house and Harrison slept in his bed (wonderful).
I have another 4 month old (another boy)now as well (second marriage) and was going to wait a while to have the next one but just found out I am 13 weeks pregnant again:eek: so these two are going to be 10 months apart.
I was nervous at fist but now so excited.
I think if you want to have children close together go for it. Its a challenge but the rewards are fantastic and you don't get the sibling rivalry you get when you have the bigger gap because they are so young they don't know the difference.
Sorry for rambling but I just wished there was a post like this when my boys were younger because everybody kept saying I was crazy. And now they are again but this time I have already done it.
Feel free to ask any questions
Kind regards and have a great Christmas
Jo
