Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could suggest any musical, fun dvd's for a 4 month old. My daughter loves it when we sing and do dance exercises and loves watching the tv - so I was hoping to mix the two. Would the Wiggles be appropriate for this age? Any other ideas? Thanks.

My daughter is addicted to Hi 5. She never really took to the wiggles. Maybe hire one from the video shop and see if she likes it before buying some.

I found that Hi-5 was a good one for DS. Although the older Wiggles videos are really good too, not as much skit type of things in the older videos, compared to the newer ones.

My Dd never took to the wiggles either but loves sesame street and baby einstein videos which are not really dance/interractive but are very visually stimulating yet soothing. On grumpy days they are a godsend , particularly once she hit six months or so.

i have 2 of the brainy baby dvds... they have soothing music and colours and shapes Coby is just mesmerised by them!

i also hired out some baby dvds from the local library so he has a mixture... he has watched them a few times... but now hes crawling he doesnt stay in one spot for long enough to acknowledge the tv!

at the moment he loves watching video clips and loves the schnappi song.. that german crocodile!! i even bought him the single to listen to in the car coz he hates the car! and bonus! it came with the video clip to play on the computer!

i havent tried the wiggles or anything like that... but i agree to hire it our first to see if she likes it before paying for the video/dvd

At that age, and still (at 2. 5 years), my dd was a big fan of the Teletubbies. She also likes musicals. Her favorite movie as a baby was Drumline. She is an unusal child she loves drums and bagpipes. Actually, she likes it all, but I think it's a bit unusual for a baby to like the pipers. Must be ancestrial voices. Dh and I both have Scottish and Irish ancestors. ;)
