Being a sucker for a sale I lay-byed a redValco Rad (http://www.valco.com.au/ProductItem.asp?pid=14&bid=36&sid=578&page=2) with the bassinette a month or two ago. But before lay-bying it hubby and I had pretty much agreed to go for the Phil & Ted's e3.
Now I'm wondering if I've made the right decision... Can anyone with any experience with either of these prams please give me some feedback?
I liked the way that they both folded down, and I like the idea of having a separate bassinette attachment too... Oh so confused LOL  :o
I've got a Phil & Ted's e3 and LOVE it !
Very stylish, easy to push, LOTS of accessories and if need be one day you can add a toddler seat so you dont need to go and buy a new pram, its very light and compact. Lots of funky colours to choose from (We were boring and just got the Charcoal Black).
WELL worth the money!
Yes, I second the Phil n Teds....it is our 5th pram - all the others have eebn cheapies and we really wish we had gone for this one in the first place

I've also just found a Phil & Ted's online MUCH cheaper than what my lay-byed Valco Rad is... I'm so confused now!

Ok ive never owned a valco so I cant comment although I tried my toddler in the toddlerseat when expecting number 2 and found it was just too unstable so we decided on the e3 and love it to bits! Its great if you plan on having 2 kids close in age. So easy to steer, light as a feather, fits through checkout isles, looks really great and unbelievably stable with the toddlerseat attached to the front.
But the backrest adjustment is fiddly you have to take bubs out to sit it up which is a pain.
There is probably better prams out there if just having the one child, but for 2 its the best on the market IMO.
Goodluck with your decision, im sure they will change your layby if u change ur mind. Oh and by the way the new phil & teds has just been released called sport, and there is more support in the mainseat in the bum area, easier height adjustable handle, click off wheels and the toddlerseat now reclines.

How much PL?
The Valco Rad (including bassinette) was on special for $658 - but I've just found the P&T e3 online for $495 (plus I'll get another 10% off that!)

Wow $495 is good! We paid $549 for ours (Which pretty much is the norm) and then $99 for the toddler seat attachment.
If you were after the Cocoon for the e3 they are about $80?
So a fair bit cheaper then the Valco

I don't have either pram, but when I was looking before DD was born lots of places had the P&T ones for about $550-$600 including the toddler seat. Sometimes it was an advertised special, other times you had to ask if they could give a discount for buying both together...but then if you aren't planning another bub for a while then you might not need the toddler seat anyway.
Have fun pram shopping :)
