Canberra Childcare

Hi Canberra/ACT people! :wave:

I am from Sydney, but my sister and her 2 yo little boy will be moving to Canberra in the next month or so as she will be starting work there. I was just wondering if anyone can recommend some good childcare centres in Canberra. My sister's job is in Fyshwick so preferrably around there, but probably dosen't matter too much.

Also she wants to know what suburbs are desirable/undesirable as far as living is concerned.

Hi Nicole

The centre in Fyshwick is FABULOUS! My DS went there for 2 years, and now DD goes there. The staff are brilliant, and all tremendous with the kids. I've never had one complaint about them.

As for where to live, if she's working in Fyshwick travelling time is the same from most areas of Canberra. It will depend on what kind of house she's looking for etc. Have a look through the ACT threads as there are already plenty of discussions on the pros and cons of different areas of Canberra.

all areas are good to live in i think and if you want look on the www.yellowpages.com.au (http://www.yellowpages.com.au) for childcare centers as there is some times a years wait or more and look on www.allhomes.com.au (http://www.allhomes.com.au) for houses good luck to her

Most suburbs have daycare centres its just a matter of where she wants to live & what she can afford.
