 Hi I'm just about to start out in the world of mcns. Baby girl due in 4 weeks so I need to get organised.
I want to know some opinions as to if I should start with baby beehinds or greenkids for a newborn? I'm thinking of buying one of thier part time packages. Thanks
bbh for a newborn def:thumbsup:
You need to buy covers for Baby Beehinds too ;)

I would buy trial packs of a few different kinds before you go gun-ho with one specific type. They may not work for you.
Maybe some small fitteds and small size covers to start off with.. you can sell them once bub grows out of them. Also a smaller nappy wouldn't be as bulky and less fiddly on a newborn.
However, i really do love bbh and greenkids but not for a newborn.. but thats just me.

I have a few GK's and a heap of BBH on their way (1 more layby payment - YAY) I use the ones i have on DD (2) at the moment and plan on using a combination of prefolds, terry flats and BBH on DS for the first few weeks, and try & figure out what is working the best. The bamboo BBH look like they will be fine on a small bubba, but the hemp ones look a little too big. So i have ordered a berry plush, happy heiny and one other (can't remember!) in a small size. I'll probably buy a few more sized ones when i see how small/big he is.
I also plan on using wool covers over the BBH, so mum can make them to fit well (i hope!!)

I agree! In my experience, I decided that prefolds/flats and covers would be best and went gung-ho and never used them. It just didn't work well for me as my son was a frequent and heavy wee'er, and by the time I had a cover on him I was changing him again!
I had a few fitteds and pockets from eBay and I used those when they were clean. lol So I started buying more.
Now I use the prefolds as stuffers in my pockets! I now have mostly baby beehinds (both hemp and bamboo) and greenkids pockets.
However I will be buying some kissaluvs size 0 for my next bubba so we can be in cloth from birth! It has the snap down bit for the umbilical cord.
HTH!

:) Thanks for all your help and suggestions, much appreciated. This whole mcn thing feels a bit overwhelming with all the choices!
No doubt I'll figure it out.
Thanks again
