I have a question in regards to sleep patterns as they get older. My son is 9 months old and has always gone down at 6pm and wakes around 5am, I have tried keeping him up later but he still wakes early. I was just wondering as they get older do they go the bed later and wake up later or once an early riser always an early riser.

thanks

Hello,
I have 4children all were different.
My first DD was an excellent baby slept the night at 2months old, never woke early.
My DS slept the night from 6days old and was the same never woke early. My Next DD didnt sleep through untill 31/2 months but never woke early, but my DD now 5months old has been a real shocker, she wont sleep through but only just in the last 2weeks is only waking once in the night.

Now my eldest 2 sleep the weekend mornings away, but the 8year old like to wake early to go out and play.

So all i can say with my experience with my kids ive been lucky with the first three and now number 4 is going to skid the brakes on. Everychild is different, my baby health nurse said get the day into a routine and night time should fall into place(10-12hour) sleep im waiting for that, the other three did it so hopefully she will soon too.

Fingers crossed for u:fingerscrossed:
